This book by BURST 387 with a guest photo by Susanna Sloat is an informal diary of the plague year of 2020. Starting from a trip to the West Indies to photograph Carnival in Guadaloupe, the book returns to New York City at the beginning and peak of the Covid-19 lockdown. Limited in scope, BURST documents the dreary spring. Then spurred by his rather obsessive collections, finds inspiration from the books others have left behind for him on the sidewalks of Manhattan and Brooklyn. The book concludes with a rather worried-looking pizza guy in Dumbo.
