Understated and Understood

There is no inscription on this cover, which judging from its captain's wheel seating is from the late 19th Century, but the honeycomb design with 6 vent holes speaks for itself.

DESIGN:

Nineteen hexagons in 3 circles, with 6 outer hexagons fusing with the rim and a circle of 6 hexagons hosting 6 vent holes. An 8 knob ship captains wheel forms the outer seating.
