Although Con Edison used this basic design for decades, the design doesn't seem to have been copyrighted, and many generic versions continue to be made. This one is of interest because the base for the cover is exposed with the foundry identified as DEWEY. Most probably the Dewey Brothers Foundry active from the 1880's to the 1990's in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
